Sarah Sanders storms out of press briefing after berating the media for being ‘divisive

, RAW STORY|AIWA! NO!|Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders held a press conference Monday where she defended President Donald Trump’s rhetoric, which critics say has fueled real-world violence like the shooting that left 11 dead in a Pittsburgh synagogue.

Sanders seemed to run a gamut of emotions during the presser, seemingly tearing up when she talked about Trump’s Jewish grandchildren and lashing out a reporters who pressed her on Trump’s speech.

When MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson pushed Sanders to explain her previous claim that Trump was on the attack because of the midterms, Sanders pushed back. “No, it’s not because of the midterms,” Sanders claimed. “I’ve defended the president fighting back when he’s regularly attacked, there’s a difference.” she said. “Doesn’t matter if there’s a midterm. The president is going to fight back.”

Jackson continued to question Sanders about the president’s seeming refusal to tone down his attacks.

“But at what point, does a national tragedy take precedence over the president needing to punch back?” Jackson asked.

Sanders chronicled the president’s achievements during his first two years in office and chided the media for ignoring positive developments.

“It would be nice if every once in a while we could focus on the positive things the president has done instead of just attacking him.”

Sanders then ended the press conference.
