The former president appears on the latest ‘Hamilton’ ‘Hamildrop’ track.

Lauren Huff, billboard|AIWA! NO!|Former president Barack Obama debuts on Billboard‘s Hot R&B Songs chart (dated Jan. 5), as “One Last Time (44 Remix),” billed as by Christopher Jackson, Barack Obama and BeBe Winans, enters at No. 22.

On Dec. 22, creator of the Broadway hit musical Hamilton Lin-Manuel Mirandareleased the track, which is a gospel-inspired remix of a song from the show. The release is part of a series of “Hamildrops” aimed to raise money for multiple nonprofits.

The song starts with 307,000 on-demand U.S. streams and 9,000 downloads sold in the week ending Dec. 27, according to Nielsen Music.

The chart appearance comes after Hamilton co-creators Miranda, Thomas Kail, Andy Blankenbuehler and Alex Lacamoire received a special honor for groundbreaking work at the Kennedy Center Honors in early December.

The track — whose name is a throwback to Obama, who was the 44th U.S. president — is a collab among original Hamilton cast member Jackson, gospel musician BeBe Winans, and of course, Obama, who delivers George Washington’s farewell address.

Obama previously appeared on two now-defunct Billboard charts. A Moment in History: The Inauguration of Barack Obama hit No. 6 on the TV DVD Sales tally in March 2009, while a song, “Pop Off,” by JX Cannon featuring Obama, reached No. 10 on Billboard + Twitter Emerging Artists in December 2015.

(Notably, former First Lady Michelle Obama has also reached a Billboard chart, in 2015.)

An instant pop-culture behemoth, Hamilton nabbed a record 16 Tony nominations and 11 wins in 2016. The musical is a take on the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton.
