CRIMSON TAZVINZWA, AIWA! NEWS INTERNATIONAL|Despite high profile scandals Facebook continues to solidify its position in digitized marketing and advertising; it’s user base increases steadily as well as a chunky market share.

Mark Zuckerberg:The 34-year-old Facebook billionaire, who had been worth as much as $86.5 billion when Facebook stock traded at an all-time high earlier in the day, now has a net worth of about $68.9 billion, based on regulatory filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission 26 Jul 2018.

As of December 2018, 35,587 people were employed by the social networking company, up from 150 people in 2006.

More than one billion people are active on Facebook. More than 100 million people use Instagram every month.

GOOGLE: As Alphabet, the company employs a total of over 72 thousand full-time staff, some 27 thousand in the research and development department alone, in addition to which it has many other temporary and internship positions.

As of 2016, most Google employees were male and only 31 percent were female.
