2020 Motorola RAZR costs an arm and a leg but androided, and still foldable—-BY CRIMSON TAZVINZWA

The Motorola Razr flip phone is back, but now it’s an Android smartphone with a foldable display. The 2020 MOTO RAZR keeps the same style and form elements but replaces the T-9 keypad and small LCD with a 6.2-inch, foldable plastic OLED panel and Android 9 Pie.

After a lot of hype, Motorola has finally announced the new Razr phone. Its design is a throwback to the original Razr, which was the most popular phone of its era. The main highlight of the new Razr is the plastic 6.2″OLED display that fold horizontally. The display has a notch at the top which houses a camera and speaker (no face unlock tech here), and it folds from the bottom. There is a chin at the bottom which has a fingerprint sensor and USB-C port. The external 2.7″ OELD display is made of glass and shows notifications, music controls and selfie camera mode.

It’ll cost $1,499 when it arrived in January 2020. The new Razr is a fundamentally different take on the foldable phones that we’ve seen so far: instead of turning a modern-sized phone into a smaller tablet, it turns a conventional-sized smartphone into something much smaller and more pocketable.

One of the most iconic phones of all time is coming back with a brand new look. Foldable phones like the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X show that a smartphone that unfurls into a tablet is now achievable tech.
