Scottish judge throws out bid to stop Boris Johnson suspending parliament for now – urgent appeal expected///CRIMSON TAZVINZWA
A court case in Edinburgh was put forward to stop the prime minister from suspending Parliament. On Friday, Judge Doherty rejected the request and a full hearing will be set for the first week of September.
Judge Doherty has not made an interim order BECAUSE there is no need. He has brought forward a full hearing to Tuesday. All the arguments can then be addressed and a judgement made BEFORE prorogation.
