The United Kingdom rolls; issues out newly designed blue passports as a mark for exiting the European Union, and starting a new socio-economic and legal route independent of the EU and European Parliament
The new design will replace the burgundy-coloured passports used in the UK since 1988. Many supporters of Brexit have called for a return to blue passports once the UK left the EU.
